What we build

Garden By ZIP is an English-language planning reference for U.S. home gardeners. It combines USDA hardiness zones, Census ZCTA coordinates, NOAA 1991–2020 freeze normals, and university Extension guidance.

The first release focuses on seven tools, fifteen crops, thirteen whole-zone references, and ten learning guides. It does not publish thin ZIP or city pages.

How to use it

Start with the local lookup, review station distance and warnings, then build a crop calendar or quantity estimate. Treat ranges as planning context rather than forecasts or guarantees.
